Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

SustainCapeCod.org is committed to protecting
your privacy. If you provide e-mail or other types of address or phone
number information to our organization, we store that information in a
database that we maintain for the use of our organization. We use your
address information to communicate with you directly through our newsletters
and other written correspondence that we send out either by snail (regular)
mail or by e-mail. Occasionally we may send you fund-raising appeals either
contained within our newsletters or in separate mailings dedicated to
fund-raising.
Any personal information we collect is we use as described in this privacy
statement. Other Web sites linked to and from SustainCapeCod.org have their
own privacy statements that that can be viewed by clicking on the pertinent
links on those Web sites.
Use of Personal Information
We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our
behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing
customer support, processing transactions, or performing statistical
analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies the personal
information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain
the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that
information for any other purpose.
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to
disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a
good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with an
appropriate law enforcement investigation.
We will not sell or lend your personal information stored on our
organization’s database to any private businesses including our organization
sponsors. From time to time, however, we may give your e-mail address or
regular mailing address to our partner or affiliate organizations as listed
below:

Use of Cookies
SustainCapeCod.org will not install a
cookie in your computer. Note, however, that the Points of Light
organization’s software will install a cookie in your computer when you
register as a volunteer or nonprofit organization member. For more
information, refer to their
privacy policy on their Web site.
Internet Provider (IP) Addresses and Log
File Data
We log Internet provider (IP)
addresses, which is the location of your computer or network on the
Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. We also
use page hits in the aggregate to track the popularity of pages that people
visit in order to improve the quality of the site. There is no personal
identifiable information collected in our log files.
Changes to This Statement
SustainCapeCod.org will occasionally
update this privacy statement. When we do so, we will add the word "updated"
next to the privacy statement link on the front page of our Web site. If
there are material changes in the terms of use or privacy policy expressed
in this statement, we will prominently post such changes prior to
implementing them. We encourage you to periodically review this statement to
be informed of how we are protecting your information.
