Community Reaction to the "Joint Venture Cape Cod" Proposal |
Expo
Generally We're pleased. We also can see lots of room for improvement. It's one reason why we have reached out to other nonprofit groups under the umbrella and informal idea that we've named Joint Venture - Cape Cod.--ARL

"Your commitment to enhancing life on Cape Cod
is an honorable one. Thank you for doing such good work." * * * "Thanks for a great day at the
Expo on
Tuesday. The breakfast speakers were really inspirational, and I came
away from the workshops with some good information and new contacts. I
was wondering, did the CapeCorps Nonprofit Directory get
printed? Was it distributed at the Expo?" * * * "I really enjoyed the day and will
definitely attend again. Time will tell how productive it
was--gave out a number of volunteer applications and also did a lot of
networking with other organizations. Also distributed a lot of our
brochures. Overall, I felt that the exposure was good for our
organization. The workshops were excellent--I was disappointed that I
couldn't attend more of them, but that is always the case." * * * "Thank you
for the opportunity to participate in the Cape Corps Volunteer Expo.
My staff and I enjoyed the day tremendously. . . . The Expo itself was very useful to me personally, as a networking
opportunity with other nonprofits. I enjoyed meeting colleagues
from other groups and seeing the breadth of accomplishments by the
nonprofit community on Cape Cod. The Expo was useful to my
organization as a way to build our image within the nonprofit community.
My staff and I talked with many groups about possible collaborations and
other opportunities to work together (for example, education programs)." *
* * "Thank you to everyone for all of the hard
work in planning the Expo." * * * "The
Expo appeared to be professionally run. Nice work by your team." * * * "Just wanted to say
thank you for a great day on Tuesday at your Expo. I met so many
people! I loved the workshops. They were full of
information! It was a pleasure
to meet you. I look forward to next year!" * * * "We
attended the Expo for the first time this year, the event was
professionally run and looked great." * * * "Overall, a great
job. Jane certainly had things well organized and professionally done. .
. . Our booth location was great. We
got a lot of interaction. We will be back next year. Thanks for a job well
done!!!!" * * * "I was at our organization's booth all day. We had a lot of interest
from the public and other exhibitors. We hooked up with Score, Gestalt
Institute, Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Hospice, and a law enforcement
woman. I personally signed up to be involved with Emergency
Dispensing Sites and Dream for a Day Camp." * * * "The entire
Expo program, organization,
crowd flow, and its upbeat environment were very well planned. The
booth common color background provided a real 'big' event
feel. The schedule allowed more than sufficient time and access to
all for all." * * * "Universally felt to be well organized and
run. Liked the look of the room." * * * "Overall, the
Expo was quite
successful. Breakfast got rave anecdotal reviews as did the workshops." * * * "I was lucky enough to visit almost every
booth and introduce myself and ask how things were. Everyone said
that the space looked really terrific, and most of them said they had
already gathered volunteers." * * * "Our organization had a very successful
Expo.
We signed up four very skilled volunteers. Half were at the Expo because they were working at a booth as part of their paid work, the
others were looking for volunteer opportunities. I also talked
with several others who were interested, but not good fits for us.
Representatives of other organizations collected our literature to pass
on to their clients. (Continue to Joint Venture Cape Cod comments.)
